As part of its Cleveland Coast Wildflowers Project,
supported through funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund the Tees Valley
Wildlife Trust is running a photographic competition to capture the
beauty and imagery of our magnificent coastal floras. Entry into the
competition is free and we welcome photos from amateurs and
professionals.
Closing date of the competition is midnight September 30th 2015.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony and
exhibition on Sunday 25th October 2015 at the Palace Hub Gallery in
Redcar.
You are invited to submit a total of six photographs in a total of four categories:
- Coastal wildflower portraits
- Coastal wildflower ecosystems
- Coastal wildflowers in the landscape
- Budding photographers aged 16 or younger before 1 October 2015
It doesn’t matter where you live but photographs must have
been taken this summer between May and September 2015, along the
Cleveland Coast between South Gare and Cowbar. The photographs must be
of flowers growing wild in the coastal strip between the sea and the
first cultivated land or roads and buildings inland. It doesn’t matter
whether the photograph is taken on a mobile device or camera. Give it a
go!
There are prizes for the winners and runners up in each category plus an overall winner
