Stokesley Snapshot 2011

We have been awarded an Arts Council grant for a project to record, through photographs of the people, places and events, life in Stokesley and surrounding villages during the course of 2011 and early 2012.
We would like everybody, members and non-members, to submit pictures, the best of which will be included in a book to be available for sale later in 2012. In addition there will be an exhibition, which will be held in various venues within the area.
Technical assistance and guidance will be provided by members of the Society at a number of “drop-in” open meetings.
Upload your images onto our Flickr site http://www.flickr.com/groups/stokesley_snapshot/ Alternatively you may leave your photographs, prints or on a CD, at Stokesley Town Hall. These should be in an envelope clearly addressed to Stokesley Photographic Society, c/o Town Hall, Stokesley, TS9 5DG. Please clearly label your print or CD with your name and contact e-mail or telephone number.
If a photograph is selected for the exhibition and/or book we may ask for a larger copy. Copyright of all photographs will remain with the photographer.
For any picture of a person, other than a street scene, you should have their written permission for it to be used in the exhibition and/or book. A suitable form may be downloaded from the club website page www.stokesleyps.org.uk/snapshot.html

More Farne Island Pictures

Here are some of my pictures from the Farne Islands trip. The seals were shot from the boat as we approached Staple Island. For the birds, I concentrated on trying to get flight shots as these were the most challenging. The puffins in particular were difficult, but I did manage to get a few.

Farne Isles

As with Simon not many puffins but glad to have the terns as obliging, albeit one angry mum blessed me with a present all over my camera. The sailing ship was a bonus and may be a contender with our seascape theme - well you do have to think of these things!!!
